Intertextuality

Intertextuality is a term used to describe the  visual reference between films. In other words; when there is a making reference to another media text in a media product.

Here are some screen grabs from both The Roommate and Psycho to show how Intertextuality is used from the famous 'Shower Scene' by Alfred Hitchcock.
